  6. What is Geb's Goodies?
  7. ===============
  8. Geb's Goodies is a set of freewares designed to help you in your everyday's life of developer and/or user.
  9.  
  10. This version requires a Preview Release 2 of the BeOS.
  11.  
  12. Included in this package are:
  13. -ChooseType, that allows you to choose and set the file type and preferred application attributes of file and folders, and possibly a number of them at the same time.
  14. -ViewIt, that allows to easily screen the BMessages that you'll send it, or directly drag on top of it.
  15. -Reveal Original, that allows you to find where an object pointed to by a symbolic link is.
  16. -MemMonitor, that allows you to screen the quantity of committed memory.
  17. -BExplorer, a nice Mandelbrot set program made by Alessandro Levi Montalcini.

  19. Installation

  21. If you can read this notice, it basically means that you've unpacked the archive... :-)
  22. To install the software, you may want to move the different folders into a folder that you'll call "Geb" in the /boot/apps folder. Then you'll be able to locate all the applications I write in this "Geb" folder, as advised by Be.
